SENIOR BUYER – SOURCING, Transportes – Diadema / SP
- Negotiates price and terms with suppliers. Works with cross-functional teams to source new business.
- Initiates and implements cost reductions on supplier products;
- Develops new and maintains current qualified suppliers for assigned commodities;
- Coordinates execution of engineering changes affecting purchased material. Supports manufacturing on supplier-related issues as needed.
- Monitors raw material/alloy trends, using to manage part pricing to minimize cost
- Graduated in Enginnering or business administration;
- Experience in direct materials purchasing;
- Working knowledge of ERP and supply chain processes;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Analytical ability and complex problem solving skills;
- High level of interpersonal skills to work within team environment;
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic Engineering documents;
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency;
- Must be able to travel as required;
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of highly engineered commodities: Metal fabrications, castings, forgings.
