SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER, Financial Services – Qatar / Doha & Ras Laffan QP/Shell Petrochemical project is a joint project between QP and Shell to develop a new JV petrochemical complex at Ras Laffan (80% QP / 20 % Shell) to add value to ethane and Propane from North Field and ensure optimum utilization of Qatar’s hydrocarbon resources. As a globally-advantaged petrochemical growth platform in Ras Laffan Industrial City the project is set for mechanical completion by Q2 2016 with start-up by end of Q3 2016. The project configuration as the base case is mixed feed cracker and aiming for production of Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG), Linear Alpha Olefins, and Propylene based OXO Alcohols.
Sr. Project Engineers (Cracker, Oxo & Olefins)
Report to: Project Manager
Role:
o Owner Representative – Upholds safety, ethics, quality, compliance to government regulations, cost & schedule standards, owner policies & requirements, communicates Project message.
o Manage all Project Engineering for project scope and Engineering Oversight of FEED and EPC
Responsibilities:
o Assist in development of specific execution deliverables including Project Plans, EPC schedule, Constructability program, Procurement Plan, Job Specification and FEED & EPC contracting consistent with overall contracting strategy for the Project.
o Assist in development of Gate 1 estimate and schedule for Process (Cracker, Oxo, & Olefins), their utilities requirements and permanent infrastructure facilities for integration into overall project estimate and schedule.
Sr. Project Engineer U & O Design
Report to: Project Manager
Role:
o Owner Representative – Upholds safety, ethics, quality, compliance to government regulations, owner policies & requirements, including owner engineering standards, communicates Project message.
o Technical oversight for Utilities & Offsites (U&O) design and Advisor to the Project Manager – Leads or participates in the selection, optimization and definition of U&O facilities, e.g. steam, cooling water, wastewater and tank farm systems. Assesses quality and execution issues in this specialty during detail engineering, procurement, and construction
Responsibilities:
o Lead or assists in the selection and optimization of U&O.
Sr. Project Engineer Oxo-Alcohol
Report to: Project Manager
Role:
oTo provide, with full responsibility and accountability, a professional project co-ordination service to QP/Shell cracker project excution, during deefination and execution stage, especially Scope of Work Preparation for FEED & EPIC tender, evaluation award.
Degree in Engineering. Higher academic or professional qualifications is preferred to embrace the commercial dimensions and job complexity. Significant experience in the olefins, polyolefin’s, aromatics and derivatives or petrochemical industry is preferred.
Knowledgeable about refinery/petrochemical integration, utilities and offsite. Experience in developing and running economic models. Ability to demonstrate a high- level synthetic view as well as analytical view when assessing problems.
QP offers competitive Tax free salary and remuneration package. Terms of Employment include 6 weeks leave per annum, travel to home country, comprehensive health cover, accommodation and schooling allowances.
