TAX ADVISING COORDINATOR, Oil & Gás – Barra da Tijuca / RJ Oferta:
With a key role in the Strategic Tax department, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice and structuring aspects consistent with recognized tax standards and oversight of tax planning opportunities;
- Provide direct tax specialist advice to ensure adequate and proactive responses to business opportunities and assess risk;
- Provide concise, accurate, comprehensive, intelligible, and timely direct tax advice to relevant stakeholders;
- Identify tax planning opportunities and remove obstacles on technical problems by facilitating the resolution of problems individually or as part of a cross-functional team;
- Participate in country and regional Tax projects, as both team member and Project Leader;
- Monitor developments in Brazilian legislation and develop contacts with tax consultants in order to ensure all projects and processes are being properly advised;
- Assist in raising tax awareness in the business through training and workshops.
We look for a Senior Tax Specialist, preferably with legal background – or strong legal knowledge – and thorough experience in the Brazilian Tax environment, preferably within the Energy sector. The ideal candidate should be an effective communicator with good project and people management skills. Ability to evaluate tax risks, balance risk with business objectives and make sensible reccomendations is key. Fluent English is a must.
